This is a draft prepared from Lysties' actual product behavior. It has not been reviewed or approved by legal counsel and is not a final Terms of Service or Privacy Policy.
When you create an account, we collect your email address, your chosen username, and your password (stored securely, never in plain text). If you sign up or sign in with Google, we receive your Google account's email address and profile information instead.
We store the content you post - photos, captions, comments, and reactions - along with your city (if you add one to your profile) and your language preference.
We collect basic usage information, such as which posts you view or react to, so we can operate features like feeds, search, and the trending leaderboard.
Lysties uses a secure, HTTP-only session cookie to keep you signed in. This cookie can't be read by JavaScript running in your browser, which helps protect your account even if a page you visit contains malicious code.
You can end your session on every device at once from Settings, then Account, then "Sign out everywhere."
We use your information to operate Lysties: showing your feed, powering search and Explore, sending the notifications you've opted into, and sending emails and notifications in the language you've selected in Settings.
Your language preference controls the language of emails and notifications only. It doesn't currently change the app's interface language, which is English for now.
Your profile, username, and posts are visible to other Lysties users by default. Turning on "Private account" in Settings removes your posts from other people's feeds and from search results, but it doesn't restrict who can open your profile or view a post directly if they have a link to it - there's no follower-approval step.
Comments and reactions you leave on a post are visible to anyone who can see that post.
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Deactivating your account, from Settings, then Account, then the danger zone, signs you out everywhere and disables your profile immediately.
Deleting a post removes it immediately and can't be undone.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated policy here; continuing to use Lysties after a change means you accept the updated policy.
